Dear All,
A farewell to a great lady! Today we are saddened with the loss of GYB Moncton member, Denise LeBlanc—a giving, caring and community leader, who committed to helping other women’s success. I first met Denise in Toronto in 2012 at the WBE Canada conference. She was so enthusiastic about GYB and said she would join the Toronto Board until we were able to start in NB. So with an intro to Marg, they launched Moncton with great enthusiasm. She used her voice to advocate for women’s meaningful participation in the growth of their companies. She inspired me and galvanized many others to gain economic empowerment.
We at GroYourBiz—and hundreds of others who knew Denise—mourn her loss. She was a friend and mentor to many, as well as a loving wife and mother. Her death represents a huge loss to her family (her husband Guy, son Mathieu, grand-daughter, Danika, and another on the way) and to all of us as a whole. So tragic. May you continue to be our “shining star”!
