Barbara Mowat, President & Founder of GroYourBiz, Will Be Attending the Denise LeBlanc Memorial Awards in Moncton, NB

Denise-LeBlanc postcardOn November 3rd, 2015, Barbara Mowat will join GroYourBiz members and other guests in Moncton, NB to attend the Denise LeBlanc Memorial Awards, a new ceremony being launched to help support the growth of woman-owned ‘emerging’ business from southeast New Brunswick. The award, a memorial to the late Denise LeBlanc, CEO of Cleaners on the Move and TexMedico, will be presented in Moncton at a ceremony to be held at the Delta Beausejour Hotel on November 3.

‘The ‘Prix Entrepreneure émergente Denise-LeBlanc Emerging Woman Entrepreneur Award’ was established as a means to honour Denise LeBlanc’s commitment to small business development and to helping women fulfill their entrepreneurial goals’, said GroYourBiz Moncton Chair Janice Goguen. When she passed away suddenly in 2014, a group of friends and associates came up with the idea of the award as being fitting to Denise’s altruistic sense of reaching out to seek business help and to offer help to others.

The annual prize, which consists of a cash sum of $1,000 and package of professional services with a combined total value of up to $5,000 is supported by BMO Bank of Montreal, the CBDC’s of NB Women in Business Program and several other corporate and private sponsors. It will be awarded to a woman who is the majority owner of a business established between two and five years ago and who can articulate her vision for business growth.

Information on the eligibility criteria and application process can be found at www.Denise-LeBlanc.com. Applications close at midnight, Oct. 23.

For more information, contact: Janice Goguen, Committee spokesperson, 506 962 4984, or Info@denise-leblanc.com

This innovative and timely half-day Conversation will bring together 40 to 50 senior leaders from business, government, and academic institutions to discuss significant questions arising from the research, and contribute to the final report expected to be released in the Spring of 2016.
