Kathy Long Holland has a BA in History and Art at the University of Nebraska, an MA in Anthropology from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from the University of Oregon with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. Ms. Long Holland is a specialist in the development and launching of new products and strategies. Ms. Long Holland was an executive at Nike for 7 years as the Divisional Head of New Products and Markets. She has run her own business advisory firm, LongSherpa Design,  specializing in new businesses and business transitions since 1987.

Her work is targeted to helping owners, executives, and managers develop strategies for dealing with transition. These transitions are related to growth, market change, ownership change, and management change. She has worked extensively with small and medium sized businesses, start-up entrepreneurs, cooperatives, corporate environments and not-for-profit organizations.

She co-founded ECO-D/OMBI, a not-for-profit publicly funded corporation providing business development and advisory services to innovative enterprises in the start-up and early stages of their development.

She is an expert in entrepreneurship and has lectured at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, The School for Entrepreneurial Leadership at the University of California, Berkeley, and is a Lecturer at the University of Oregon Graduate School of Business and Oregon Health Sciences University.  In addition, she has presented  leadership and entrepreneurship training for the U. S. State Department in the Middle East.

Robert Arthurs joined the BC Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games Secretariat as Manager of Procurement & Business Opportunities with the 2010 Commerce Centre in 2006. Create and maintain Olympic Sponsors relationships and other major stakeholders. He has co-developed and delivered 253 2010 Business Opportunities Workshops, providing information to BC businesses wanting to leverage the Winter Games. Rob was the 2nd most requested 2010 Olympics Speaker after John Furlong of VANOC with over 89 keynote speaking engagements and 35 Mini-Keynotes while in this position.

The 2010 Commerce Centre is a central location for the latest Olympic business news, procurement, business information, success stories, best practices from previous Games, a calendar of Olympic-related events and an extensive collection of business tools and resources. Rob works closely with the Olympic family and related organizations to ensure this information is readily available to BC companies. Rob has become an expert in “Community Economic Development through Sport” with his experience with the Olympics.

Rob is a businessman who is currently President and CEO of Arthurs Ventures Inc. During his previous presidency at True North Clothing Company, they were named one of Canada’s 100 fastest growing companies in 1999 with 450 retailers worldwide carrying their products.

In addition to his management experience, Rob is a Certified Business Coach with more than 4500 coaching hours with hundreds of entrepreneurs worldwide.
