Danalee Baker

Danalee Baker, is Co-Principal, Baker Communications. She is a proven purpose-driven leader with skills in stakeholder relations, community engagement, organizational strategy, and employee development eager to create meaningful impact and positive returns within a great team, organization, and community.

Danalee’s accomplishments are extensive from her role as Executive Director, United Way Thompson Nicola Cariboo to BC Director of Community Impact, she has led financial restructuring of United Way TNC over four years.  She secured $3.2 million in new revenue streams from 2016 to 2019, including grants, sponsorships, capital investments, and annual donations;  Founded innovative social enterprise, in partnership with Thompson Rivers University: The Xchange Community Collaboration Centre and Change Lab;  Established capacity-building initiative for non-profit boards and leadership staff to increase skills, knowledge, and sustainability. And most notably, she received the 10-Year Achievement Award – United Way of Canada.  Danalee has led highly productive and committed teams, created meaningful and strategic partnerships, and increased revenue streams through diversification to enhance sustainability.  She is passionate about supporting and lifting up women. She is also passionate about WBOs in rural communities and increasing their capacity to be resilient in good times and in times of crisis.
