Kamaria T. Richmond is a native Washingtonian. Richmond graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film and a Minor in Afro-American Studies. She is currently the Producer/Host of The Stroke Diva Fabulous Radio Show. And, the Associate Producer/Host of The Award-Winning Ed Brown Television Show which tapes in Bowie, Maryland.
In 2004, Richmond was diagnosed with a Thyroid issue, Sarcoidosis, a disease involving abnormal collections of inflammatory cells that form lumps known as granulomas in multiple organs, and experienced a stroke that injured her brain. She spent many years in eye, cognitive, occupational, physical, and speech therapy.
Richmond decided to use her health challenge as life reinvention opportunities and with the help of a dear friend and sorority sister, Ananda Leeke (Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.), began the journey into online social media as Present Moment Living Correspondent for BAP Living Radio in 2009, the Digital Sisterhood Network Blogger-in-Residence and host of The Stroke Diva Fabulous Radio Show on TalkShoe.com in 2011. The Stroke Diva podcast and Ed TV Brown Show highlight the work of authors, artists, business professionals, actors, musicians, life coaches, bloggers, foodies, community activists, entrepreneurs, politicians, and people from all walks of life. This work now is her cognitive therapy and service to the community.
