A Maritimer by birth, Jill began her first career as a Registered Nurse in New York City after graduating from the Royal Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in Montreal. After leaving the US and relocating to Ottawa she progressed in her nursing career, eventually obtaining her Master’s degree in Health Administration and moving into executive positions until retiring from the health services industry in 2012.
At this point Jill decided to pursue her passion in all things “décor” and after evaluating the possibilities decided to become a professional home stager, graduating from the Certified Staging Professionals International (CSPI) program in 2012 and starting Stage Right shortly after.
A dedicated life long learner, Jill took a number of related post graduate courses and is a Certified Color Consultant and Vacant Staging Specialist. She also holds designation as a Residential Renovations Project Manager.
Jill is a certified mentor for the CSPI program, allowing new graduates the opportunity to apprentice with her and learn the realities, challenges and rewards of the profession.
Jill’s reputation has grown with her business, and in 2015 Stage Right won the Platinum Award for Home Staging and a Top 10 Award for Interior Design in the Hamilton Spectator Readers’ Choice Awards. Stage Right is proud to provide comprehensive staging, styling and colour services to the Greater Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville areas.
