From Welland, Ontario, Cooks Who Feed is a kitchen textiles company that
revolves around the “give-back” model. Each product sold provides meals
to alleviate hunger in underserved communities and safe, fair-trade work
for marginalized craftswomen. This aligns with UN SDGs two and eight:
Zero Hunger; and, Decent Work & Economic Growth.
Cooks Who Feed founder, Seema Sanghavi, is dedicated to using fabrics
that are locally sourced, recycled, organic, and natural. Waste and water
consumption at each stage of manufacturing is tracked in order to ensure
sustainability at every level.
