She created the well-respected Uniquely Programs that assisted 12,000 Canadian entrepreneurs access increased markets, and created and owned a national magazine, a retail store, and an e-commerce site supporting home-based and small businesses. Barbara is an international leader in the development of SME enterprises, whose work has assisted entrepreneurs and facilitated trade throughout Canada, South-East Asia, USA, South America, Europe, Afghanistan, India and Africa. Marg Hachey, Managing Director, Ontario and Eastern Canada
Marg Hachey was previously the owner of Duocom Canada Inc. She founded the company in Toronto in 1980 and with organic growth and acquisitions expanded coast to coast. Its success earned it recognition as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Private Companies, by Arthur Andersen, CIBC and the National Post two years in a row. Chatelaine and Profit magazine recognized her over a 10 year period as ranking in the top 10 of the Top 100 Women business owners in Canada. Previously, she has been on the Steering Committee of Step Ahead, and a mentor for six years with the program, helping women entrepreneurs whose businesses were in the second stage of growth. She was also Special Advisor to Youth in Motion Education Foundation a non-profit organization to help youth gain access to higher education and as a board member helped launch Top 20 under 20.A sought after keynote speaker, Margaret has addressed audiences across the country on various topics. She is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management and York University’s Schulich School of Business. As a founding member of WPO (Women Presidents Organization) in Canada, Margaret has an opportunity to network and support other women in like roles.
Julia Suppa, Producer. Host. Storyteller. Media Pro, “Simply Suppa”
Julia Suppa is an award-winning multi-platform media professional, producer, and consultant with over 20 years of experience in the media industry. As the founder and president of Suppa Media, Julia consults with businesses to elevate their content creation through strategic storytelling, media marketing, video production, photography, social media management, and event production.
As an integrated content creator, Julia works with businesses to brainstorm and develop ways to target a niche market through storytelling and live events, creating dialogues and discussions to convert conversations into customers.
Julia’s “Suppa” power, if you will, is her ability to simplify complex ideas and deliver them in a relatable manner, and her expertise lies in crafting dynamic and engaging content that resonates with audiences, ensuring that each brand’s story is memorable and impactful.

Rona Maynard, Former Chatelaine Editor
Rona Maynard found happiness at 65—a story she tells in her second memoir Starter Dog: My Path to Joy, Belonging and Loving This World. She first broke into print at 14 with a short story about bullying and still receives fan mail from teens who are reading it in class. Rona capped a stellar career in magazines with a decade at the helm of Chatelaine, where she her editor’s column won a loyal following. When she disclosed a struggle with depression, she helped kickstart a national conversation about mental health. After Chatelaine, Rona had to learn to unwind. Her best teacher was a rescue mutt who had received his basic training in a prison.
Rona’s many honors include a Woman of Distinction Award from the YWCA of Metropolitan Toronto, a Media Award from the Canadian Nurses’ Association and a National Champion of Mental Health Award.
Rona has been married more than 50 years to the man who keeps her laughing. She is a longtime speaker on mental wellbeing and tells new stories at her Substack home, Amazement Seeker.
Sabine Daniel, Founder, Play Productions, TV Producer & Host
Canadian award-winning bilingual producer and on-air personality Sabine Daniel is a transformative force in the Canadian media landscape, known for her unwavering commitment to cultural representation, diversity, and inclusivity.
With over 20 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to amplifying underrepresented voices, particularly within BIPOC communities, and telling powerful stories that resonate with audiences across the nation.
As the creator of some of the most impactful programs in Canadian media, Sabine’s notable productions include the milestone 10th season of her TV Rogers Ottawa interview show, Suivez-Moi, and the third and final season of Sunny’s Quest for TVOkids, a series that brings the authentic, first-person stories of Black children across Canada to the forefront. She is also the visionary behind La quête de Lumie for TFO, the French adaptation of Sunny’s Quest, a groundbreaking series that continues her mission to elevate diverse voices on a national scale.
Seema Dhanoa, Author, “The Path to Conscious Leadership”
